Beautiful actress Nadine Velazquez was a skinny child and was teased by her sister for having spindly legs and prominent lips. "She called me Fideo, a skinny pasta," recalls the Latina beauty. So how did the skinny child transform into this gorgeous woman, who is now counted among the Maxim hot 100 bodies?

Nadine Velazquez, and her two sisters, were born into a family of Purto-Rican descent and settled in Chicago. They studied at an all-girls school in the windy city. The awkward looking Nadine picked up gymnastics and tennis at school, which helped in toning her body and making it more graceful. The next step was cheerleader training which gave Velazquez strength and flexibility.

Later Velazquez became focused on her acting career, doing small roles on TV shows and films, before landing the part of Catalina on the hit comedy, My Name Is Earl. Her beautiful body and feisty nature are the main ingredients of the character Catalina.

Nadine today says that her two sisters are prettier than her, but cheekily adds, "I think my body is the best, but I don't think my face is the best!"

Nadine now stays in shape through a fitness program with trainer Marcus Pierce. Marcus says, "Nadine was pretty fit to begin with, but she wasn’t working out consistently or eating necessarily the right stuff for her body type. I taught her how to really understand her body. She didn’t need hardcore weight training with the heavy-duty weights, she needed less weight, more repetition. In a year’s time, her body completely changed, and now she’s one of Maxim’s Hot 100 of 2007."

Nadine Velazquez also works on her tennis with coach Zach Kleinman; combining fitness with spiritual-mental health.

As for her diet Nadine says she has acquired a taste for Indian food. The actress who will turn 30 on November 20th dislikes junk food and has given up eating meat, "I don’t eat meat for health reasons; it’s not good for me. But I really like the taste of it. My favourite meal is a Southwestern salad. It has crispy lettuce, pumpkin seeds and black-eye peas in it. Ideally with extra corn."

Nadine Velazquez is 5'5" with a slim but nicely curved body. She works out three times a week and decribes her fitness program: "I have an exercise routine designed to keep me constantly in motion; one cardio workout after the other, with only 15 minutes down time between each of them."
