Actress Eliza Dushku attends the Zumba Fitness DVD Launch party at the Music Box Theatre on March 24, 2011 in Hollywood. The Zumba dance workout is a mix of Latin dance movements like salsa and samba, mixed with squats and kicks, and has become a popular way to improve fitness and reduce stress. Eliza Dushku, from shows like Tru Calling and Dollhouse, posted on her Twitter: "Holy sh*! I'm in a Zumba flashmob right now... No joke! People are losing it!!" Last year, in an interview with the October issue of Self magazine Eliza had spoken about her favorite workout: "Weight training is especially important in addition to doing the exercises properly with correct alignment and a clean diet. It makes me burn more throughout my day and feel amazing."

Supersized fast food
Fast food is packed with tons of simple carbs, saturated fat, sugar, and salt, all of which translates to an enormous amount of calories. Supersized portions make it all the more worse for consumers. Sixty years ago when fast food first became popular in the United States, the McDonald's burger contained 333 calories and weighed only 1.6 ounces. Most modern burgers now weigh more than 12 ounces! All the major fast food chains like McDonald's, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, are guilty of dishing out supersized portions. Although in most countries they are required to publish calorie and nutritional content with the meals, most consumers ignore that information because they are already addicted emotional eaters, or they eat fast food only because it's cheap.
In 2004 filmmaker Morgan Spurlock made an Oscar-nominated documentary Super Size Me, in which he ate McDonald's fast food all three meals a day for 30 days to see what would happen to him. At the end of it he put on 25 pounds, his cholesterol went to 230, and he began suffering from heart palpitations, depression and sexual dysfunction. It took him four months of healthy eating and exercise to lose 20 pounds, and another nine months to lose the last few pounds. This month, Morgan Spurlock published a graphic novel "Supersized: Strange Tales From A Fast-Food Culture" which contains more shocking revelations about the fast food industry, which will permanently turn you off from their unhealthy food!

Overeating in stress and boredom
It is called the emotional eating disorder. Food is obviously one of the great pleasures of life, and our brain responds to it by releasing feel good hormones like serotonin. But continuing to eat when full leads to severe health problems and really packs on the pounds! Sadly, the brain continues to release feel good hormones even when we are overeating, and this is why people use food as a way to feel good about themselves when they are experiencing stress, loneliness, or boredom. At these times emotional eaters always turn to ready to eat junk foods like ice cream or chips, instead of low calorie fruits and veggies, which makes the problem worse.
There's no easy solution to stress, boredom, anger or depression; particularly when the reasons for those problems are beyond your control. But you can tackle overeating.
- The first thing is to recognize that your overeating is an eating disorder; most emotional eaters don't even know that it is.
- The food only helps as long as you're eating. Once you stop, you start to feel guilty and all the stressful, sad, or empty feelings return.
- Take responsibility for someone else in your life to feel good about yourself. Adopt a pet or do social work.
- A more effective way of battling stress and boredom is exercise. It also releases feel good hormones and endorphins.....and it doesn't have to be a proper workout. Just go for a walk!

Spinning gets the heart pumping
Riding a stationary bike, or indoor cycling, is also called Spinning when you join a training class with a proper instructor. It was originally an off-season training tool for competitive bike riders and endurance athletes, but is now used by everyone for improving fitness. The main advantage of spinning with an instructor is that they can modulate your individual training requirements. They monitor your heart rate and adjust the time of your spin, the speed, and intensity levels.
Spinning in a class is a non-traditional way of burning calories, but like every cardio exercise it also gets the heart pumping. And the instructors have a computerized monitoring system to see that your spinning doesn't overly stress your heart. The disadvantage of spinning is mainly the cost, and fitting classes into your schedule; it is really for super busy people who can afford a trainer to do all the thinking and fitness planning for them. The rest of us have cost-free ways like brisk walking to burn calories and get the heart pumping!

Heather Morris acting dumb

Heather Morris, who plays blonde pony-tailed cheerleader Brittany Price on the hit show Glee, was originally cast to portray a mean girl. She told the Boston Herald: "Literally I was just a mean girl until there was one scene of me and Puck in the office with Sue where she was trying to turn us against the glee club. We were sitting there and there was no dialogue, and I hear this laughter and they cut and Ryan was directing and he says, 'Heather Morris, you look so stupid and confused so from now on, your character is dumb.'"
Brittany Pierce wanders around with a deadpan expression and makes some hilarious statements in a monotone voice. Among Heather's favorite Brittany one-liners is: "Did you know that dolphins are just gay sharks?"
Herself a cheerleader during her teen years at Mountainside Middle School in Scottsdale, Arizona, Heather Morris was featured on the cover of American Cheerleader magazine. "We didn't have a cheer squad in middle school, so we started our known. We had a ton of girls join, got a chaperon to help us out, practiced after school, and my mom made us matching sweatshirts. My sister even e-mailed me recently to tell me she has a video of us performing at halftime——which I used to choreograph all the dances for——and it's just so cute!"
5'8" tall Heather Morris seen performing on Glee with Naya Rivera, who plays fellow cheerleader Santana Lopez. Together they are known as "Brittana" and have engaged in a little lesbian loving on the show. Off screen they are just good friends and Heather Morris is dating Taylor Hubbell, who is a college baseball player. "He lives in Louisiana, so I never get to see him."
Besides acting dumb, Heather is known for her dancing skills.....she is actually a professional dancer who has worked with Beyonce. Morris was brought in during Glee's first season to teach cast members Beyonce's Single Ladies dance routine. From being a background character Heather Morris has steadily risen to be an essential cast member, specially after the Britney Spears episode.

Heather Morris wearing a Joie dress, Erin Wasson bracelets, and Sigerson Morrison flats in Teen Vogue magazine. When asked about her high school experience (she attended Desert Mountain High School) Heather told Teen Vogue: "Honestly, I didn't enjoy it. My dad passed away before my freshman year, and it altered how I thought. I was depressed——I didn't hang out with my friends. I worked through it by dancing." And obviously dancing keeps her body in great shape, but the blonde cheerleader is also into Piloxing (pilates+boxing) and says: "I always make sure I get eight hours of sleep because I know that that feeds my energy the next day."
